In the following pages, you the reader will be presented with two very different paradigmatic hermeneutics in the study of biblical Eschatology. It is your task to lay aside all presupposition and opinions, and weigh the evidence through the lens of unbiased exegesis. Public Note: During the debate with Terry Benton, when studying the speeches in preparation for the upcoming speech, I would insert some study notes for my personal reminders of things I wanted to respond to. When the debate was concluded, and I decided to post the debate on this website, I had to go back through some 51,000 words of text, and thus, I overlooked a couple of notes, which Terry brought to my attention. Those notes have been removed and a formal apology issued to him, as well as stated here.
Additionally, during my last negative, being exasperated at Terry's repeated and deliberate misrepresentations of things I would say, and having used up quite a number of my allotted words in various speeches pointing that out to him and the readers, I inserted a parenthetical statement explaining his breach of debate rules and ethics. That parenthetical comment has also been removed, and placed here. It is as follows:
"I’ve pointed this out in previous speeches but Terry has ignored the fact that his conduct is a breach of debate protocol. The typical rules in debate forbid each speaker/writer from charging his opponent of believing or saying something he doesn’t believe or hasn’t said. Terry has incessantly made up things I have never said, and charges me of saying those things; and now, he knows that the Realized Eschatology Paradigm says the resurrection was future to the words of Jesus in Luke 20:37, so for Terry to say that I claimed there was no future resurrection is the baldest of absurdities and outright prevarication. Each opponent is only permitted to say that a particular thing stated “infers” or “implies” a certain conclusion. This is why I invest so much time in accurately quoting Terry’s own words to prove a definitive conclusion based on what Terry has said."
Shortly after the conclusion of this debate, in a public discussion on Facebook, Mr. Benton was caught once again in an outright lie against me, and when I demonstrated this fact beyond question, he blocked me and I've had no further contact with him since that time. It is an ongoing bewilderment to me how someone, who by all appearances is a seasoned Christian, can so casually lie against their opponents.
